The law of averages says that there must be single women in your area (i am neither). This might sound like a cheesy suggestion but have to tried a local dating agency ? Or perhaps an online dating site ? Speed dating events in your area ?

Perhaps be selective in your description (although truthful), such as, if you are wealthy don't be over obvious about it or you'll just get piles of wannabe gold-diggers !

romantick, the fab thing about MN is that you can offload all your troubles without revealing your identity.

You can be honest, just perhaps not so open to begin with. I get the feeling that over honesty so early on would either a) scare your potential date off (a bit 'full on', so to speak) or b) give them the green light to take advantage of your openness.

Just a thought.

Maybe you could join forces with jmg1? He had a dating thread started for him and also wants to move.

Perhaps don't be quite so intent on finding the one. Take it easy and enjoy making new friends through whatever medium you choose (night classes / dating organisations / singles nights / clubs} and let the relationships develop naturally. If they blossom into something more, then fantastic, but if they don't then put it down to experience and move on .

There is someone (prob more than one, TBH) out there for you. Have fun finding her

Why the wrong place ? I don't understand. This thread seems to be one started asking for advice/help on finding Ms Right. You've been given/offered said advice, so I don't see how MN could be the wrong place to come ?
