(2 Posts)Does anyone know if Cafcass can ask for historical GP / medical records and whether you can refuse? If you refuse can they legally order these?
It all depends on the grounds for request, how serious the allegations are, other evidence (witnesses, social service report) backing up etc etc. Generally speaking, they are consented to in order to prove innocence. Also if your aiming to be a foster parent/guardian etc it's often requested to ensure the adults health is ok. Often, it seems like an excuse unnecissarilly but if nothing to hind, why have that fight!
