Fed up of ex(5 Posts)
I've posted a couple of times here and on the divorce board about my ex.
He often messages me to offer feedback about my parenting. Things like i have no relationship or connection with our child. I'm selfish etc. They are long messages written with an official tone. I never criticise him and have learnt to just ignore them as otherwise you're drawn into an argument you never win.
We had a battle about finances when we got divorced and I'm not happy with the contact arrangement it's better but i feel he still has majority of quality time ie weekends and not school days. For the past 2 years i haven't seen her on her birthday but this year i am. But i haven't got the energy at the moment to persue it.
Anyway he hates all my friends and family. We're organising a birthday party and he uninvited some of my friend's children because they're my friend's children. Not our child's friends. But he can invite his friends children.
He hated my mum and she couldn't visit when he was there even though she lived 6 hours away not round the corner. She's died now. Or he'd take a dislike to someone and they'd be blocked.
I just can't believe he did that. I'm not sure what to do. Part of me feels like it's not worth the battle. But im fed up and it's starting to make me ill
Don’t invite him to the party? It’s on your day you decide who’s coming!!
And obv invite everyone he’s uninvited.
He can do his own thing on his day.
Don’t let him walk all over you because it’s easier..
I agree with PixieDust, if you've organised a party on your day, then don't invite him. Your ex can always arrange to take your dd somewhere special on his day.
Or back up your invitations with private messages or texts or emails. Ignore his actions, don't rise, just make sure everyone you invite stays invited.
What a prat !
Thanks for the replies. Its actually on the weekend before her actual birthday. We organised it together though
Sorry should have said it's on his day and we've split the cost. I think in future we'll have to do separate things
