Ok theres a few things....Long story short my fiance died last year so I'm a single mum with a 4 year old and a 2 year old. In the last few months after my 4 year old started school shes playing up alot more, acting angry towards me and laughing when being told off. Every night at bed time she's shouting for me and if i dont go has a massive tantrum. I thought she'd be over that stage by now. To top it all off she won't poo without a nappy on and she's 4.5.

My 2 year old has started the terrible 2s which is fine as i know it's a stage they go through and shes started to have some tantrums. However, my main worry for her is her speech. She's only just turned 2 so i know there's still time but she says only about 5 words and none of them are clear words except mama. She just gestures and makes noise. I'm waiting for her 2 year check up to speak to her health visitor. Does anyone have any tips on how to deal with these? Am I just unnecessarily stressing myself out?

I’m so sorry about your fiancé Flowers

You and you dc have been through a lot in the past year, so it’s not surprising your 4.5 year old is a bit troubled.

I would speak to your Health visitor and see if they have any useful advice.

It sounds like regression which is very normal under the circumstances. Do reach out for support- either your GP or health visitor should be able to help. Have you had any counselling for you? And Flowers for you. It will get better.
