Venting required

The ex has really pissed me off today. So he's planning to take me back to court because he's not happy with the access. I'm not sure how he thinks he'll get more he has alternate weekends, alternate Christmases and half of all school hols. We live 2.5 hours away from each other and meet halfway... Anyhow, the summer has been a nightmare with him trying to select when he wants rather than what works for both. So he has insisted our son goes to his from last Weds until next Friday. Our son didn't want to go, he has already spent 9 days at his dad's when they went to Greece and has said that he just wants to stay home and see his friends.

I called my son earlier and he told me that since Weds his dad has been at work each day and his step mother has been looking after him. It was 6.30pm and he said that daddy still wasn't home and leaves before he wakes up. I'm pretty livid because I have a very flexible work enviro, I could have had the time off and he could have played with his friends.

Added to that DS, who is only 6, has had to do a 2.5 hour drive on weds, then tomorrow they are going to south Devon for a week which is a 6 hour drive for them, but takes them past our front door!

I feel it's just selfish and it's all about having exactly what the ex is entitled to on a f*cking piece of paper, rather than what's best for DC.

Same here. Much younger child but ex doing what suits him not what is best for DS. Shall we sit in a corner and cry together???

Sod the crying, done more than my fair share of that since he left us for the now step mother (son was only 3 months at the time).... it's possibly time to stand up and start challenging the selfish ones of the world!! Totally up for the wine and cake though! ;)

@AKP79 defo!!! I had an episode with my ex the other day over DS. Left me so angry I sobbed for hours!!!! Why do we let it get to us?!
