Daughter won't sleep in her own bed !

Hi all would love a bit of advice.
My little one won't sleep in her bed !
I'm a single mum have been for two years now. This has been an ongoing problem from the beginning..
To recap... I was with her father and we only had two bedrooms one for us one for my older son. So Daugter slept with us for the first three years of her life. We then bought a bigger house so she could have her own room this is where I could kick myself ... Her father and I were at that point sleeping in separate rooms due to our relationship breaking down ... Daughter would just get up and go into his room and he let her... I left two years later and I had to rent a smaller place lack of money ! So the cycle continues Daughter had to sleep with me sue to lack of bedrooms... So now here we are she is nearly eight !! And still keeps coming into my bed at night ...
Help and tips or words of advice...

DS (11) often sleeps in my bed! I used to regularly sleep in my dad's bed until the age of 12. Is there any particular reason you don't want her sleeping in your bed?

Well yes I think that at eight it is a good time for me to put that boundry in place. She has been asked to a sleep over at her friends and I think she will be lost as I'm not there.
So I am letting her fall asleep in my bed then taking her through to her own once she is asleep of course she wakes up a few hours later and comes back into mine. I think it will take some time to fully achieve.
Any tips would be great ...

Could you try getting in her bed and sleeping in there? While she is in your bed. It's normal for her to be in your bed with you she's used to it. It's comforting for a child and Some grow out of it at an earlier age.
Does she like her room? Is there anything you could do to make it more cosy for her? Sorry I couldn't be anymore help
