Lone parents

Don't feel like I'm doing very well

As I'm sitting in my utility room crying.

The kids just don't listen to me, won't do anything I ask, behave like wild things.

I know they don't behave like this for their dad and it's not a new separation.
I've asked my parents for help but they say they can't:

I'm not sure I can keep going much longer.

You can. But you need rest and to build yourself back up. How old are your children?

And hugs to you!

They are 8, 6 and 4.

It's relentless. I've only been off with them today and I already don't want to be here

They're tired from the long term
They need fresh air , they're like dogs at that age , football in the park all afternoon & then a Christmas movie so you can have a bit of piece
Good luck Flowers

I'm just on my way home from work but I know how you feel Flowers. I packed mine off to holiday club yesterday and Tuesday because they would not behave or let me catch up with chores. They refused to do anything even for pocket money.

I feel that everyone gets the lovely side of my kids and I just get the destructive and argumentative side.

Yes, me too. Did you manage to get them out today?

Spent half of today out then had to come home with an awful migraine.

Tomorrow will be better - I'm going to make sure.

I just tell myself to keep breathing, the rest will follow.....

They know you are a constant their lives, unlike their dad, hence safe to play up. A very back handed compliment but it means you're doing well xx

No advice really but I wouldn't be afraid to park them by the tv when needed! Don't forget kids often play up most with those they feel safest and most secure with Flowers
