Child maintenance non payment

Hi

My Ex has had DS this holiday, I've just checked online and he failed to pay maintenance that week?

Should he have paid ( I thought it was worked out a year what he should pay then divide by 52) or was he not expected to pay as he had DS for the week? The extra time wouldn't have caused his payments to reduce as he doesn't have DS over night enough.

I appreciate he wasn't here to need feeding but It still would have contributed towards his costly uniform!!

Any ideas?

Sorry should have said he had him for a week this holiday, in addition to normal contact

He should still pay, even if he's had him for the entire week. Child maintenance is worked out annual based on the average number of nights per week.

Yes, he should still pay, it's calculated as an average over the year.

Thanks both,

That's what I thought. It could be an oversight that he just forgot but I think it's more likely that he believes he shouldn't pay when DS is with him
