How do go about over night stays?

Ok so in a months time my children will be going for weekend stays with their dad and his new partner. He hasn't had them overnight in about 1 year.
Now what I'm wondering if a night trail would be good. Or not bother and go straight into full weekends.
This is all new to me and I know how much of a hand full my kids can be. I don't want stress for him or her about it.

I think a trial is a good idea..one night and then build it up
You say your kids are a handful but they are his kids too so let him handle them ..it's called parenting :)

This is something I am already worrying about. And STBXH doesn't even have a place that DC could stay over nights yet!

A trial sounds brilliant. Cos if your anything like me... This trial isn't just for the kids. It's for you.
Forget planning what I'm going to do on my night alone... I'll spend it worrying that DC are ok and happy and coping ok!!

That's it it won't be one night they going from school Friday back after tea Sunday. The tranSiston will be the hardest for me as I always have atleast one child with me (5 altogether ).
I am looking forward to me time but I just worry.
I will request a trial and go from there
