sharing bedroom - overreacting or not?? help!

My sons have always shared a room but when the eldest started puberty a couple of years ago I sorted out the spare room and separated them so he could have privacy etc.

It never really worked out and they pretty much still share the big room most of the time, which was fine with me but now I am worried its not natural.

On Saturday I had an early start and I was rushing around trying to find my charger, I went into the bedroom of my eldest DS (hes nearly 14) and they were both in the bed, nothing that unusual but I saw the pyjamas of my 11 year old DS on the floor (both the pj top AND bottoms) and also a pair of boxers belonging to my eldest.

I left quickly and didn’t confront them, I panicked, phoned in sick and stayed in the house. When they finally got up at gone 10, they seemed normal and my youngest came downstairs now wearing the pyjamas. I couldn’t bring myself to ask what had been happening and I can’t be certain that they were both naked, as eldest often has numerous items of clothing left all over the floor, but no doubt at all that my youngest had been nude.

I’ve never given it a second thought them sharing the bed, they often play playstation at night and sometimes just fall asleep together. But I am now sick with worry now in case something sinister has happened. I have been lying awake every night this week and not sure what to do.

I thought about asking my sister in law who I am quite close to, but not sure I want this getting back to their dad as we split up 6 years ago.

Really need advice here...

What is the sinister thing you think has happened ?

You think something sexual was happening - obviously.

The fact that you ran out suggests it was something that immediately occurred to you - you felt embarrassed as if you had stumbled upon an intimate/private moment. Do you know why you thought that.
My son walk around with no clothes on. My DD comes in to me for a cuddle naked some mornings - they are both teenagers. It's everything to do with the house sometimes being too hot and nothing else.

What made you assume something sexual was involved ?

I think you've made a massive leap here!
