Will CSA payments be less if my ex has another baby?

I am not exactly in this position.. Yet. Anyway, I have a young son with my ex. We split and I get CSA of £40 a week. Paid monthly.

I live with my new partner.

My question is. If my ex has a baby with his new girlfriend/bit on the side lol, will my son get less? What if they spilt? (He treated me like poop and can't see her treating her any differently - poor girl).

It's not a huge problem if I did get less - partner earns and my pays all bills and other costs. But the CSA is the only money I get in my bank at the minute (other than child benefit and had to give up my job when I moved away) so it's handy to buy stuff my son needs.

Yes there would be a decrease. The decrease would remain in the event of them splitting up also.

The amount could be different if they split. If he has a baby and stays with her, a percentage of his gross income will be deducted before your maintenance is calculated. If they split, they will use his whole gross income to calculate and then split the maintenance due between the eligible children.
