So to cut the long story short
DS has started weekly boarding due to ex not wanting to help with co parenting after school etc and I work all over the south east so DS would have been a latch key kid.
So in order to afford the school fees I have to sell my flat and downsize. Ex pays nothing except child support £250pcm and not a penny more, I asked for help with uniform costs and he refused to pay anything . Now his complaining as I'm moving away and I pointed out if he had helped with the fees etc I wouldn't have to move. Now he is threatening to take me to court because I'm moving out of London !!! I'm like Shock I can't win dammed if I do and dammed if I don't . He has never wanted DS to board and moans about it but he doesn't want to take responsibility for his son himself he just likes to tell me what I should be doing yet all I'm doing is trying to ensure I can pay the fees as I'm getting no help . Part if me wants to tell him to go take a hike as he could help but he chooses not to. Am I being unreasonable ?

How far are you moving? How much contact does DS have with his dad? How much will this affect contact?

I'm moving to the south coast 90 mins away from my DS school in surrey but ex can pick up and drop off at school so no need to come to my home anymore

So... If it makes no difference to his contact, what's the issue??

let him try to take you to court, as any solicitor will point out the shitty logic in his argument

Has he said what the issue is? It seems like faulty logic but perhaps there's more to it? Personally I would hate for my children to attend boarding school but then I wouldn't also refuse to be the resident parent or co-parent to avoid it.

The issue is head he always wants to dictate to me what a crappy mother and what I should be doing yet he is like the Disney dad who basically does nothing and is not willing to take any responsibility and everything is on my shoulders. Have been in and out of court for 5 years and to the point where I'm sure the judge is totally fed up with us is all we do is argue. Have got yet another court date this week to try and get him to pay towards DS educational expenses which he doesn't think he should pay. Its just so exhausting but to me its not the money its the principle that he should contribute towards uniforms etc its a perfectly reasonable request but unfortunately I just picked an immature pr*ck who cares more about his sky subscription that making sure his son has school shoes , but reading on here someone else always has it worth so I grit my teeth and get on with it ........ I play Cheryl's I don't care its my anthem
