Facebook... The good life for some?

Hi all,
Has/is anyone else feeling a Facebook fatigue of all their friends on there having such a great coupley/family life, especially in the lead up to Xmas ... Or am I just being a right ole Scrooge?
I'm a little tired/envious etc of a handful of friends/family, constantly posting every hr of the day how great their life is, kids are, Christmases are going to be!
I work full time, have very little time, money or fun.i lead quite a dull existence of work/child rearing, housework.
A particular lady on there(family) posts hourly from 9am at being at yoga, tagging the places she's lunching or coffee, then posts regarding healthy eating etc and finally normally rounds off the day with a post about how great her hubby /child is etc etc.now I know I can hear you cry.... Just delete her.but I feel everyone on there like that at min.
But then I do think is it just because I'm in a bit of a static situation that I feel like this, no real massive blue sky's on the horizon, shouldn't I be happy for them etc.
Anybody else feel this way

I bet she is seriously fucking depressed and unhappy with her life, se is trying way too hard to be the perfect person and let everyone know about her life.

Most people including those i couples lead a life of work and child rearing and never having enough cash.

I expect her husband is screwing someone much younger.

My best friend is always posting smug updates, she is always 'blessed' and constantly shares vomit inducing quotes from the 'happy wives club'. The truth is she only has 3 days off work this month (her choice she works locum) and barely sees her kids.
Facebook is just a front.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. It makes me so upset n it's nauseating... I know a girl early twenties who goes to see her sisters baby sometimes n instead of talking n cooing she sits her on her knee n takes selfies for hours....makes me sick. IT IS ALL APPEARANCE! IT'S A TRICK!

I'm going to be coming off Facebook about a week before Christmas n coming back after new year . Cant cope with it

I always feel relieved I am not coupled up actually. It's never as it seems.

I only post on Facebook when I'm bored or, to be honest, if I want validation for something. So of course it's not a true picture of my life (although I am bored and needing validation quite a lot).

No one ever puts on Facebook what their real life is like.
Just think every time you see a lovey dovey status 'love my hubby soooo much!!!' 'Love you too wifey!'more often than not they're sat in the same room not talking to each other both engrossed in their smartphones.

Yes so true Nicki and Blakey! Being single is heaven for me, I have my little boy and girl and we are all really happy! And way too busy to be posting our every move on facebook! It is like afull time job for some of my friends! Their kids are probably sat there desperately crying for attention while their "blessed parents" faces are buried in their phones

I just bear in mind that things aren't always as they seem. And anyone who says they are 'blessed' probably isn't.

That said, I genuinely like FB, I just take it with a pinch of salt.

One of my friends posts amazing pics of holidays and weekends away etc, and then when you talk to her about them, she's always saying how rubbish they were for one reason or another. FB is very much not real life.

I post on FB and my life really is what you see. But then I'm a very open person, if you ask me a question I'll give you an honest answer even if it might not be what you want to hear.

Of course lots of people do only post the good bits of their lives. But I just wanted to say not everyone edits.

I saw a quote about Facebook once, something along the lines of 'Don't compare your behind the scenes to other people's highlight reel'.

IME the people who spend all day spouting about how brilliant their lives are, are usually the ones who are very unhappy. People with genuinely great lives are too busy living them! Same with the ‘perfect’ relationships. A friend of mine apparently has the best relationship ever, but whenever I see either of them in real life they seem as miserable as sin.

I never post about me and Dh, it's nothing to do with anyone else.

When my Db posted a picture about the meal he'd cooked for her the other night I literally yawned, beginning of the year she'd beat him up and police had to be called.

I find the ones who are gushing all over Facebook are more than likely bullshitting and fabricating.

Its ALL fakery. FAKEBOOK. Let people think your really happy book.

My friend is an alcoholic with two kids and just met her soul mate of three months. He has a prescription drug addiction. yet on fakebook they are the fucking waltons.

I really love the argument statues Grin

I watched Jerry springer on loose women a few months ago ( see clearly I do have no life) anyway he said that everyone could go on the the JErry springer show, everyone has a story but not everyone would go on the show..It is the same with FB...Some want to tell all some , some the good bits and some the image they want to betray.

Oh totally.. I have a management app that I upload lifestyle photos into ..like cups of espresso and nice meals or healthy snacks and a list of trendy hobbies and it mixes them all up into a schedule of posts so that everyone thinks it's all cool, then I mix special brew with blackcurrant and settle down to watch tv and listen to planet rock. Its cool..Grin

Literally rolling on the floor laughing here ladies, at the Walton's , special brew an blackcurrant,an couples changing to penguins!! So I guess in reality it's just me , letting it get to me?!!!
I like it because there's some others on mine, who post genuinely nice things every once in while and it's nice to see.
The moral of the story is - unsubscribe from said persons newsfeed, an stop looking at it every day, maybe just catch up one 30 min slot a week coz I'm too busy living my bloody life lollololol!!
My next fb status will be the quote mrs gsr wrote I think.
Thank you ladies !( ooh an a pic of a sad lonely penguin!)

I had a friend who had a perfect life on fb. Always boasting about xyz. She was in a unhappy marriage and then went on to have an affair. But on fb her and her husband were all loved up lol
I don't post anything on fb anymore. My life is noones business and I like keeping it private :)

I'm gonna take on a one woman crusade on it now. They ve got too much time on their hands , I haven't lol
