Hardly a newsflash but I need to vent. We don't go through the CSA for child maintenance. When he lived locally he gave me cash when I saw him and now he's moved further away he's been paying cash into my bank account.

The frequency and amount of these payments have halved over the last few months so I sent him a text querying it and suggesting a standing order might be easier. He moved out of his mum's and into a new house with his gf two weeks ago. This was his reply to my text:

"Hi, DD's money will come, just had a lot of paying out to do to provide a nice home for her"

He's bought a bed for the bedroom in the new house. That's it. Fucking clueless isn't he?

Is she going to eat the mattress? Dress herself in her new bedding?

Just go through cmo as its now called save all the drama IMO. That way he can say its not fair or whatever but it isn't, its the law. Its a set amount, you know when its coming in and neither of you can argue an amount. Its 1 less thing to cause conflict o debate.

Indeed Bippity.

Fools I'm slightly reluctant to go through any official channels because he rarely stays in any job for long and I feel like it will all get too complicated. At the moment he seems fairly confident that he'll stay where he is but he's pretty chummy with the bloke he's working for and I wouldn't put it past him to either deny he's working or lie about how much he's earning. Plus I think he's technically self employed so he could very easily make it look like he's earned nothing.
