STBXH just returned the kids, they've been away since Thursday night. He took them to see cousins they get on well with (four hours drive) but they are older. So have probably been going to be 10-11pm (aged 8 and 10).

He has forgotten one of their suitcases (left it behind) returned them at 9pm tonight knackered (I have rarely seen dd1 y6 so tired, may have to keep her off and I don't say that lightly she has had attendance awards at school) and unwashed (itchy bottoms galore) dd1 wobbled and got teary and asked again why daddy can't come home Sad (10yrs of low level bullying, anger and non engagement, low level EA and VA) she is now sleeping in my bed.

Thanks for that then!!!

He is indeed a SBXH for a reason

Poor kids

Big hugs to you I know how hard it is

Maybe keep her off school for the morning and let her rest then take her in to school and explain. 9pm is very late to return on a school night or any night for a 6 year old.

I hear you. Mine have returned home with D&V after spending three days in a caravan with no running water. They are beyond tired Sad

Yep and guess who has been up all night with sick kids and now has to take at least two MORE days off work unpaid ? Angry

On the plus side OW stormed off home when she realises her weekend 'caravan break' involved slopping the toilet out with water from a rain butt. Visions of OW stuck on the toilet all day will see me through Grin
