Husband left at the end of july have 2 dds 8 months and 5 years. Thought I was doing ok but today its hit me all over again and I just feel so sad. Not sure what I want from this really but just needed to offload really I guess. Any tips for picking myself up?

I think you have every right to feel sad, anybody would in your situation. Can you put the kids to bed early tonight, then maybe put on a tearjerker film and have a good cry, just let it out somehow. Then make plans to have a happy day over the weekend, with the girls so they know they still have you, always.

Good idea bucket, sometimes if you're feeling low you just have to go with it, don't try to fight it. It's really early days, there will be ups and downs, but you will move on in time. x

Be sad as Bucket says. Why should you pick yourself up? - as long as you are taking good care of the DDs of course.

It's perfectly OK to feel crap, awful, lonely, upset, very sad.....

Give yourself a little treat every day - here's one from me Wine

What you are feeling is perfectly normal.... You will have good days and bad days..Get yourself out the house more than just school run..putting a brave face on for a few hours can help but also don't feel bad for feeling sad...It is very early in break up

Defo treat yourself every day....I ordered a blazer from Asia yesterday and have just polished off a bar of green and blacks :)
Best advice I had when my x left in march was from my mum. She told me not to waste a day of my children's life...that it goes soquickly. My dd's are 3 and 1, and I can honestly say I've enjoyed them every day and they have got me through. Sure it's the same for you...focus on them, be kind to yourself and let yourself have bad days. It's just picking yourself up afterwards and getting back on track.
Be proud of how you're coping, don't worry about the odd bad day. Sending good vibes your way xx
