Loving the relaxed weekend!

Just looking through old home videos and realising how stressed and unhappy my home used to be. Easter 4 years ago involved footage of Ex stomping and bitching in the back ground. Nobody could relax, I couldn't watch TV in peace, eat chocolate all day or let the kids just 'play - everything had to be structured and as he dictated.
Have had a horrific 2 years post split and it's so nice to have a break from the relentless crap all weekend. He's not seeing the kids til later in the week so we have nearly 5 days of no emails/texts/angst. We still aren't dressed [bublush] and am thinking it's a bit late in the day now. Can't believe how relaxed the house is and secretly smug that Ex and OW are juggling a colicky newborn AND his mother (who he hates) all over Easter [bugrin]

I may open a bottle of white to celebrate! Single parenting rocks!

"Single parenting rocks" - Has made me chuckle.

I am in a similar mindset to you and also had to deal with the same things with my ex. It is fabulous now as me and the children can do what we like without worrying about him.

My friend made a comment the other day that she need to escape as her partner had bought a new game for his play station. My response was luckily I don't have to put up with that its the benefits of being single ha ha.. Grin

Good for you! I'm in a bit of a similar situation, but no where near your stage yet. Hope you really enjoyed the 5 days!

Thank you all.
My solicitor is back from holiday tomorrow so no doubt will have a lovely full inbox of ranting from ex and OW to sift through and forward.

Was fun while the peace and quiet lasted Wink
