full-time student & housing benifit?

just wondering if anyone has been in the same situation as me. heres the story-
2x ds, one 6 the other just turned 5. i am in my final year of doing a college course. the course is classed as full-time but i am only in 2 days totalling 13 hours. my income support has just been stopped as ds now turned 5. the job centre want me to go on jsa but said i have to give up college course as you can't be a full-time student. i have applied for it however & the lady at the job centre has been helpful. worked out i can work for 32 hours a week, before & after school club opens 7am-6pm.
i have been granted jsa hardship while my application goes through. i was recieving full housing benifit but i got a letter saying this & council tax has been stopped. the lady said that she doesn't know if i will still be able to recieve hb if i don't get jsa. i was going to go to the council today but ds has a sickness bug so am unable.
obviously i am looking for a job but its difficult with only being free 3 weekdays & between certain hours. i really don't want to give up my course when i have only 8 months left. does anyone know if i am likely to still get hb even if i don't get jsa?
thanks

I'm in a similar situation, full time college, 2 children, is stopped I still get housing benefit, as I have no income. They suspended my claim while they looked into it, but it was re started

Write to the council and explain, and let them know what your income currently is and the situation, that you are available for work and awaiting it all to go through, they should re-instate your claim while you are waiting at least.

IneedAgoldenNickname - do you manage ok? do the council go on what you have coming in money wise to if you are eilable for it?
i went to the council yesterday, the lady was lovely but i have to wait for it to be assessed. she said there is certain criteria when you are a student.

I barely manage tbh, hut hardly get any maintenance which makes a difference.

I can't remember, I must have put down my income on the form, then in the section that said 'anything else you should tell us' or something, I put that I was starting full time college and could they inform me as to how that affected my claim. They never said it did, do I assume it doesn't. Afaik, it's different criteria for students with no dependents, but I could be wrong!
