Ahh Mavend, you know, when I'm stuck with a day that's grey and lonely, I just stick out my chin and grin and say ...........

Awww now come on..dont beat yourself up.

You are ill, the kids have made unecessary mess after you have already tidied (granted the potty training isnt her fault but still adds to the fustration), you are on your own, no back up, no one to rant to and no one to take 5 minutes off you. Days like this CALL for CITV.

It's not everyday you feel like this, so this once wont do them any harm and you are not a bad mother. You are probably doing them and yourself more good with what you have done than you would have "loosing it" later on in the day when you just can not cope...and it's going to be over something stupid.

Write today off and start again tomorrow.

oh yuk... i remember the horror of treading in poo... haven't done that yet this time round.... though we are only just beginning to potty train again... eek. (now my foot feels dirty again... )

it is easier to clean up poo from a freshly vacummed and tidied floor... you could have been wiping/thowing away toys

it is always worse when you feel ill too....

wow, is that a giraffe over there?

I know how you feel. Its infuriating when the kids make a mess and all you do all day is clear up after them. Its totally understandable that you are so pissed off.
Roll on school term that what i say. I have ds 10 yrs here getting really bored, so i catn wait for Sept 5th to arrive. The summer school hols are far too long. For me its 8 weeks and not 6weeks.
Dont feel like a crap mum, you are human and we are not perfect.....
Hope you feel better soon.xx

How ill are you feeling? Are you well enough to escape so the house is no more messy when you get home (well after you've cleaned up the poo...)!

Have a beechams, grab a box of tissued and head on out. Take them to the library and sign them up for the reading challange. Or to the soft play centre if you have one near you and can afford it. Does your local museum have any events going on or is the council putting on free or subsidised stuff near you?
Anywhere that they'll be kept busy and you can read a magazine or have a coffee for half an hour will make a huge difference.
