How do you meet a potential partner?

Its probably a daft question I know, but I just can't see how its possible with a baby/young child.

Don't want to be single forever!

I met my (now living apart) dp at a neighbours house, was her daughters birthday party.
Had been single for a couple of years, had been propositioned in the pub a couple of times tbh, really didn't want to date someone who's social life revolved around going out drinking (I only very rarely went out) as that wasn't compatible with my life.

I met DP when I did an evening class and we'd go to the pub afterwards for a drink after class. I didn't meet him until DD was 8 though.

I've met other men through hobbies, internet sites (not dating sites, more general discussion boards), and friends. But I was single for a lot of time too - I learned to enjoy my own company and focus on myself and my daughter. I don't think it's necessary to be in a relationship to be happy and if you've come out of a bad relationship, it's good to spend time just being an independent person.

I have no idea! 2 years and counting. There aren't even any (young) blokes in my office.

I'm a single dad of 4 , 3 boys 1 girl they are 13 ,11 ,8 , 7 and I have been single now for 7 years. To be perfectly honest I love every minute of it, my house is my own we have our rules when the kids decide to follow them lol. I love my kids company ( and my own ) and I dont get any of the usual ( Oh my god football's on again )lol. I involve myself with my kids schools I am a parent Govorner at my 2 youngest kids school ( primary ) also at my 2 oldest kids school ( secondry ) all 3 boys are involved in school and local football teams so thats 3/5 games a week and my daughter does gymnastics , dance , and school reading club so most of my time is pretty well taken up with the kids at the moment. I am not saying I wouldn't want to meet somebody but at the moment my kids are the priority for me. Thanks for reading this I know it's a bit of a ramble but if I'm going to post you might as well know a bit about me lol
