Hi all,

Does anyone know if council will insert windows in bathroom that does not have one at the moment? Has anyone been successful in this? My bathroom does not over look no property and is a end terrace😊

Which borough are you?

I doubt many councils are doing non-essential works to their properties at the moment (all are strapped for cash

But if you look on your boroughs website for Home Improvement Agency (or similar name) you might strike it lucky with a scheme that still exists

I am in the Haringey borough. I have never heard of a council having a scheme to insert new windows through brick walls. I mean the whole thing as in breaking through the wall to add a window :)

Why would they? Lots of council flats have an internal bathroom with no windows at all. Pretty sure it's legal as long as there is a fan. I can't see why they would spend money putting a window in?

What's the reason? I mean why does it need one?

Health issues, plus they changed vent twice and still no difference. Even the contractor who came to change it said these fans are not good but we are told to install them
