Last summer I did a weekend on my own in London as a nice break just for me. Started this thread at the time and got some great ideas. I'm going again next month (I loved the time to myself to do exactly wanted so much that I decided it would be an annual thing!). Anyway I did quite a lot of the suggestions last time so would be interested to get some more ideas (different posters, different thoughts I guess plus there's always new things to do in town).

Thanks Flowers

Will you be visiting over a weekend or weekdays?
The V&A Dior exhibition is fabulous if you can get a ticket.

Over a weekend this time. I really want to see the Dior exhibition but I can't justify the cost of membership which seems to be the only way to get one. I could try queuing in the morning but if I don't get in I'll feel I wasted some of my day. Maybe they'll release some more tickets?

Is this your sort of thing?

It's Dr Gunther Von Hagen's exhibition of real human bodies. Friends who have been have highly recommended it. I can't make up my mind of I want to go at all

there’s alot more than the Dior show on at the V&A - Mary Quant is probably more accessible. Or the free exhibits. I love walking down the Kings Rd from Sloane Sq till it starts getting residential then back up the other side. I’d just do that for a bit of people watching and window shopping.

What happened to the previous thread OP? I think I gave a lot of recommendations last time.

Maybe she used the suggestions that she wanted? It's difficult to tell - how on earth did a thread on London recommendations end up deleted as a bunfight!?

So are you sure it's the same poster (quite a few others, not in the topic, and so recommendations get lost in the billions of posts in AIBU/chat). Much better in the topic if, where they're easy for people to find (whether OP or lurker, reading for info)

Titsywoo what sort of things do you like doing?
