What are we expecting to happen in September? Will schools be back to normal or still in bubbles and socially distancing?

Is it likely things will be back to normal in Sep? Will parents still have the option to not send there child with no comeback?

I'm assuming my Y3 will not be back til.Sep but would love her to see her current teacher? If still in small bubbles there would have to be a rota if all DC get to go in. Or will all that be a distant memory by September? What do you think?

The law 're none attendance has been amended to 30 June at present for those who should be in school. I assumed it will be amended according to the situation.

Will children be back in September? No idea. How will it be organised? No idea. If it isn't safe we will continue with two years and key children because that is our capacity. We can't take more children back until we are back to normality or as best as and there is no need for Key children to be in.
Will we need to look at other locations and supply staff to educate groups?
Perhaps!

The head of dds primary isn’t expecting things to be back to normal in September. I don’t know what she’s expecting the situation to be though!

@cabbageking is that amendment changed from all of.summer term as I was under the impression that choice re school attendance was until the end of summer term?

Two years?! Children cannot stay at home that long surely?
God knows what will happen in September but I don’t think people will accept their children being off school beyond then...

I think @cabbageking meant two year groups, not FOR two years...

We are only taking two years back. Not two years as in time

@JediJim the PP meant continue with two year groups, not continue 'for' two years!

Although it's more than two year groups...it's the whole of EYFS (nursery and reception), year 1 and year 6. So in most schools 3 year groups, some will have 4 year groups if they also have a nursery class.

Then we have high school starting in a couple of weeks with their year 10s and 12s.

September? Who knows 🤦‍♀️ I just want to get through the next 7 weeks with my year 1 bubble 👍

@GinWithRosie - at my DD's school it will only be 2 years going back. Reception on 8th and if all goes well Y1 on 15th. They think they won't have room for Y6.

We are also not taking year 6 back. They will have two weeks at their new school before we break up in July.
