Help to understand tapestry please

DD is in reception, the school has been using tapestry to set work for the children. When I upload an observation DD's teacher quickly responds with a comment and boxes with the different eyfs goals (? I think), some say 40-60, some elg and some elg+. All say no refinement, wasn't sure what that means so I googled and, from what I gather, the teacher should be grading with emerging, secure and exceeding. All of DD's say no refinement, what does this mean? As with most children DD is doing well in some subjects and struggles in others but all of her observations are "no refinement". Can anyone explain this to me please?

Disappointed. Thought it was going to be a thread about craft and was all ready with the "is it really tapestry or do you mean needlepoint" comments.

Sorry can't help with this but hope someone more knowledgeable will be along soon.

Ask your school. This is what one school said ( essential its not a grading it’s just saying linking an objective of the task to a development matter previously pointed out).

PineappleDanish me too blush Was quite excited as no one seems to do tapestry any more.

Sorry OP!

@LouiseTrees the other reception teacher has been saying about some children aiming for exceeding on certain subjects, so I'm guessing that teacher is grading children's work, but DD's teacher has put no refinement on all of DD's. It would be useful to know how she is doing and what she should be aiming for etc.
