My girls gravitate towards Youtube every chance they get and its a daily battle to keep them off it. The problem is the vids they watch...its just kids mucking about like 'Tiana' and 'Ruby & Bonny'. i cant stand them and find them very annoying - my kids love them though. Dont get me wrong we limit screen time but when we say the can watch tv thats what they choose to watch and we have to convince them to put CBEEBIES on. Can anyone recommend any good educational type programmes we can try, they like nature so im always pushing planet earth etc. Any ideas would be appreciated, or can we just block the rubbish on youtube and stop them seeing it!

Blippi - usually something vaguely educational in there. Lots of kids tv show have educational messages:
Blaze, team umi zoomi, doc mcstuffins. More obviously educational: do you know? My Pet and me. Andy and his various adventures.

My kids like to watch Blippi www.youtube.com/user/BlippiVideos and I have recently found a new channel called Lulu's World of Learning which they really like too! They both are educational videos with a splash of fun. I feel safe leaving them to watch these channels. Lulu is a new channel so the kids like the new uploads every week.
