Broomwood Hall Appealing Planning Decision re Sudbrooke Road

Broomwood Hall has appealed to the Secretary of State against Wandsworth Council's refusal to grant it planning permission to turn the building behind it's upper school site into extra classrooms to allow it to carry on teaching girls up to 16.

Re: Rayne House Sudbrooke Road SW12

A planning application was recently submitted for: PROPOSAL: Change of use of basement, ground and first floors consisting of 13 residential flats (Class C3) to form classroom and facilities as part of Broomwood Hall School (Class D1); insertion of windows into ground floor east elevation of the building. After due consideration the application was refused permission.

The applicant has appealed to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government against the Council's decision. The Secretary of State intends to now deal with this appeal by an informal hearing. The hearing will be held in Room 122, Town Hall, Wandsworth, SW18 2PU on 24th February 2015 at 10.00a.m. Please report to the Marble Reception, Town Hall, Wandsworth, SW18 2PU.

Any comments made to the Council as part of this application have been forwarded to the Planning Inspectorate; however, if you wish to make any further comments, please submit your comments in writing by the 13 January 2015 (if possible please send three copies). Representations received after that date, will not normally be seen by the Inspector. If you wish to receive a copy of the appeal decision, you must write to the Planning Inspectorate and ask that one to be sent.
