Is everyone still on? Who is coming?

Plan is:

*Dry weather*

Meet at 12 noon in the Winter Gardens near to Zooby's sandwich bar/shop.

Either buy food from Zoobys (excellent sandwiches!) or bring a picnic.

Eat in Winter Gardens or Peace Gardens. by the fountains, depending on temperatures.

If warmish remember swimmers and towels for children as they will want to play in the fountains and will get very wet! They love it.

Wet weather

Propose meeting at 12 noon at Weston Park museum. Bring picnic or buy from cafe or Starbucks over the road. There is an indoor picnic area upstairs - meet here?

If it turned nice afetr a wet start there is the park to play in anyway.

My 4 yr DS has had a better offer! I have to drop him in Crosspool at 12 and then I'll be down with you in town after that with the other two!

steffibabes Mon 24-Aug-09 15:48:56

Gutted! I was going to come but now have a job interview at 1.30 that day.

Hulababy Mon 24-Aug-09 18:06:38

Sorry you can't make it steffibabes; hopefully next time.

Forecast for Wednesday is currently heavy rain

worzella Mon 24-Aug-09 20:32:46

So will it be the Museum then?
Weather forecast looks awful!

PeppermintCream Mon 24-Aug-09 20:56:03

I was hoping to make it, but have to see the midwife at 12.00. Hope you all have a good time, and I look forward to being able to come next time.

purpleturtle Mon 24-Aug-09 21:31:22

I saw the forecast at lunchtime, and thought we'd probably end up at the museum - although DD would actually prefer to go there, so at least one of us will be happy!

Hulababy Tue 25-Aug-09 08:40:15

When do you want to make final decision? Forecast still says heavy rain showers on the BBC site.

Looks more likely that it will be the museum. If it does come out dry they can play outside anyway, and there is the playground in the park next door, and the park opposite has a zip waire, etc. Just not water play.

Picnic or cafe?

worzella Tue 25-Aug-09 09:14:12

prefer the cafe - but costs probably dictate picnic! Sorry....

Hulababy Tue 25-Aug-09 09:16:07

There is a picnic area upstars in the museum which we could use. TBH a mix isn't a problem even if others do say cafe, as they do take out stuff which can be eaten elsewhere. DD loves a good old picnic regardless

Katz Tue 25-Aug-09 09:58:03

was about to come and post guess its a museum visit then, but been beaten to it.

We'll be bringing a picnic i'd have thought

purpleturtle Tue 25-Aug-09 10:02:10

I'm intending to bring a picnic. As predicted, DD very happy about going to the museum!

PandaG Tue 25-Aug-09 18:23:16

picnic here too I expect. Looking forward to seeing you all! smile

Hulababy Tue 25-Aug-09 18:34:30

Have picnic stuff

Katz Wed 26-Aug-09 11:17:39

picnic all packed - see you in the picnic area at 12

Hulababy Wed 26-Aug-09 18:05:33

Hi, had a lovely time. Good to see everyone
