Does anyone know of a useful 'go to' source to find out about all the different kids activities offered in Trafford?

There seem to be a real lack of arts & crafts and science based after school activities, which I have seen offered in other boroughs, which is quite surprising.

Whereabouts in Trafford are you? Altrincham has a fair few offerings, Local Creation, Sew Creative & Parsley Pie are just a few off the top of my head. Raring to Go usually has fairly up to date listings & there are a few FB groups (rainy city kids often mention trafford based info).
Not after school but twice a year, Sci-Tech (easter & first few weeks of summer hols) runs an AMAZING science experience. Not cheap, but worth it!

Have you tried the Hoop app? Put in by our postcode and age of kid(s) and it tells you what's on nearby. I just started using it and already found something on my doorstep that I didn't even know existed. smile

Library is doing some craft sessions (not sure it's a regular thing) - at least a retweet them a lot grin.

As for science, search for "Philip Rose SciTech". Philip Rose is the name of the guy, SciTech - the name of the camp, but if you search just for it you'll find a lot of unrelated stuff. Anyway, it's absolutely fantastic science and technology holiday club. The locations are varied from year to year, at some point they started to do club in Altrincham. And the program is changed every year. It's not chip, but it worst it.

Another thing, check for coding clubs in the libraries. Some local branches offer is, sometimes occasionally, sometimes regularly. If your kids got just the right level (kind of beginning, Sctatch smile) , they will enjoy it

As for listings, to add to Harree's answer, standard magazines: Families on line, Mums&Dads mag, Primetime, if you check all of them, you'll have more or less complete picture...
