Hi Islington Mumsnetters,

Islington Play Association recently received some funding from the Department of Health's Health & Social Care Volunteering Fund to support 'Healthy Holidays', a three year project to support healthy eating.

We're looking to train up volunteers in 'Food and Hygiene’, ‘Play and Playwork’ and ‘Safeguarding for Children’, and hoping to deploy them across five adventure playgrounds in Islington (Crumbles Castle, Lumpy Hill, Martin Luther King, Toffee Park and Timbuktu) during the school holidays. Volunteers will provide fun, healthy cooking sessions at
lunch times for children, all of whom attend the playgrounds for free.

If you're interested in helping out, please drop me a message. More details here:

Thanks,
Quoc
