After a bad experience with a particular agency, I'm looking for a cleaner that covers Edinburgh West. Any recommendations? smile

Not sure who your bad agency is but I use Belle Casa and have always been happy with them.

I previously used Time 4 you & wasn't impressed. Also used Fiona's Housecleaning & was happy enough. Now use Cleanleeness & find them good.

Thanks both! Will have a wee look. We used Dolly Char and was mightily unimpressed with the customer service.

Can I ask how much you pay for yours? Ours is £7.50 per hour to the cleaner and £2.50 ph to the agency (I think). Would love to pay the cleaner £10 ph but do like the easiness of using an agency.

We paid £8/hour to the cleaner and £2.95/hour to the agency. Trying to get the agency fees refunded now as we paid quarterly.

Lots of people have recommended Gleam cleaning to us.

I pay £30 for a 2.5 hour clean, directly to the agency.

Previously (time 4 you) it was £8 per hour to cleaner directly & approx £50 by quarterly DD to agency who did not seem to do much for the money

When I used Fiona's housecleaning it was £35 for 2 hour clean, paid directly to cleaners. Not sure what agency took or what cleaners were paid.

Thanks jenny. Yes we pay the agency fee quarterly in advance. I wonder why they do it like that.

And lots of - just seen your update too. Fiona's housecleaning sounds relatively dear then although not so bad if a lot of it goes to the cleaner.

I use Celine Cleaning and I'm really happy with them. Came home last week to a cleaned oven. It's £12 per hour.
