We moved to Edinburgh from the US 2 years ago, I have a 2 yr old DD and I moved recently to 4 days a week at work. Other mums at nursery seem pretty busy, we have no family here, I'm wondering if anyone has tips on what to try? My DH travels a fair bit, it would be nice to meet some other mums.

cricket13 - i can recommend the stockbridge international playgroup at st stephen's church - it runs fridays/mondays 10-1130. It's £2.50 but they have a good range of toys/snacks and friendly people.

Hi cricket13, me and my 2 year old are more than happy to meet up at some point, I'm not working so can do any time during the week. Im in comely bank so maybe one of the cafes in stockbridge would work for us both? Let me know if u want to & when's good for you x

Sorry to see I just missed this! We moved here from America 18 months ago, and have 2 year old and 7 year old. I am not working and have had a hard time finding friends for 2 year old and I to spend our days with. Live in New Town. Would love to meet up!

Hi, We've also moved recently - up from London in July, though I am American. I have 2 ds's (2 and 8 months and 4 and 7 months) and work full time, so no tips on meeting people but keen to meet up if you do anything again and would be interested in meeting on a weekend. Perhaps Loopy Lorna's? They have toys!
