Thursday 26 May - Sunday 12 June 2016

The Waterside Arts Centre in Sale, Greater Manchester offers theatre, film and arts and craft for families this May half term stretching through the two week primary school break.

Blast From The Past on Thursday 26 May is somewhere between a dance performance, TV gameshow and the ultimate compilation album as it races through 7 decades of British pop culture, leaving audiences feeling nostalgic, singing along, and laughing out loud. (Suitable for families age 10+)

On Saturday 28 May, WiLd! uses one actor and one live musician to unravel the story of a wayward, fragile and misunderstood boy who lives on his wits and untamed imagination. This brilliant and brave new play is for every misunderstood child and their family and celebrates all things ‘wild’. (Suitable for ages 8+)

Error 404 on Saturday 4 June is a wonderful interactive adventure through the deepest questions about what it means to be human through the eyes of a boy whose best friend is a robot. (Suitable for ages 8+)

Heartbreak Productions return to Walkden Gardens for another outdoor performance on Sunday 12 June. David Walliams’ acclaimed book Ratburger blends dark reality and irreverent comedy with Zoe battling through a life littered with perils, pitfalls and grizzly individuals. (Suitable for ages 7+)
For film this half term families can choose from Inside Out on Wednesday 1 June at 2pm or Star Wars: The Force Awakens at 7pm.

The lively Saturday Family Club sessions for all age groups on Saturdays 28 May and 11 June from 10am - 12noon offer arts and crafts (see website for each session). Sessions are £2 for non-Family Club members and just 50p for Family Club members. Families are encouraged to join Waterside’s Family Club for just £5 a year, for exclusive offers on theatre shows as well as discounted entry to Saturday sessions.

Looking ahead to the summer holidays Waterside presents its first Family Festival from Saturday 23 to Saturday 30 July, packed with theatre, dance, workshops, films and arts and crafts.
