if you're as bored of going to the same old parks as I am, maybe this will inspire you to try a new one.

They've all been recognised for being well-managed, clean and for reaching out to everyone in the community.

Aston Park
Cannon Hill Park
Castle Vale Centre Park
Cotteridge Park
Handsworth Park
Kings Heath Park
Lickey Hills Country Park
Newhall Valley Country Park
Selly Oak Park
Sunset and Moonlit Park
Ward End Park.

I think they had to be nominated, else the list would be a bit longer. I've been loving Bournville Park this summer, pond-dipping in the brook.

Can anyone recommend any others?

We love rowheath park. Lovely play area, reasonably priced cafe with a corner with toys and books, ducks to feed and mountains of conkers to collect in the autumn smile

Oh and kings norton park is fab since it's been refurbished. The lack of loos is a pain though when you have young dc.

Aha! I haven't been to Kings Norton for ages. Hasn't it got a skateboarding park? DS1 (6) has got one but hasn't mastered it yet - may be worth venturing down there to give him a chance to practice.... [shuts eyes]
