Hello from sunny Stirchley!! 1 toddler so far...

redandyellowbits Sat 03-Nov-12 20:03:14

Did the Hickories meet up ever happen? Anyone up for a few drinks in town one night?

Nothing too rowdy, I'm normally in bed by 9, but I am fed up of DH going out on Saturday nights with his friends when I don't really seem to have any!

ratheronabeach Fri 05-Oct-12 15:03:29

Hi all, good to see this thread, I'm in Selly Oak with 2 in primary school and a toddler.

FlightlessBirdGoingforGold Sun 23-Sep-12 22:42:45

I've come to wave at you all! <wave>
i live and work in the city centre, no DC so not sure I could stroll into soft play to meet you grin

PfftTheMagicDraco Sat 22-Sep-12 01:51:27

I have binoculars trained on the KFC.

BlueAndRedMakePurple Fri 21-Sep-12 21:41:09

I'm a boring arse too with no life, I do however come with small children attached, sorry sole.

DinosaursOnASpaceship Fri 21-Sep-12 19:58:06

Feel free smile you may get very bored though as I don't really do anything other than the school run and go to the supermarket. Although I did go to KFC the other day, just for a change.

PfftTheMagicDraco Fri 21-Sep-12 13:37:01

Oooh Dinosaurs. Can I stalk you? grin

Me. Am v near PrincessOfChina. Can't do meet-ups as I work full time and my dds are huge teenagers now but wanted to say hello to you all!

Have fun at your meet up.

BackforGood Thu 20-Sep-12 21:22:33

Just popping in to say hello.
I'm in Northfield but have dc of the big, ugly variety now, so no longer have to frequent play centres wink.
Mine are 16, 13 and 11, and I WOTH so not around to meet up, but might wave on the other threads when I see you all.
Have fun if you can arrange something. x

Can't do tomorrow either unfortunately. How about next Tuesday for a hickories meet?

solesource it would be lovely to meet for a cuppa during school hours. Im child free on weds and thurs mornings if you have a free one soon? Can't do next weds but could do thurs?

LookAtHerGo Thu 20-Sep-12 17:53:50

Can't do tomorrow as my DD has conjunctivitis and would hate to spread it. It's almost gone with antibiotics and she's being a big grown up girl with me doing the drops, better than last time.

confuddledDOTcom Thu 20-Sep-12 16:36:40

During the day I'd only have my 15 month old anyway because the other two are full time, so I'm pretty flexible what happens in the day because she doesn't need a lot.

In the evening there's always babysitters grin

SoleSource Thu 20-Sep-12 16:26:30

Cant do evenings lol typical but thank you for the offersmile

DinosaursOnASpaceship Thu 20-Sep-12 15:47:52

I can do any day, I have no social life what so ever. I do always have ds3 (15 months) with me though.

SoleSource I couldn't do day times child free as there is no one to have ds3 but could do an evening if I force ex to take care of his son.

SoleSource Thu 20-Sep-12 15:14:58

Selly Oak here but child with severe SN and we loathe kiddy.places. Anyone can/want to meet without kids,.most welcome. Long shot I know. Whilst kids at school.

redandyellowbits Thu 20-Sep-12 14:18:32

MrsCog how awful. I hope your friend is doing ok.

Sadly I don't recognise the man but will retweet for you. I hope he gets caught quickly.

redandyellowbits Thu 20-Sep-12 14:16:22

How about a Friday morning?

In fact how about tomorrow morning? Strike while the iron is hot and all that?

<tries to look cool and not over keen..>

Mrscog Thu 20-Sep-12 11:21:40

Hi everyone, sorry to hijack as I'm North Worcs not Bham blush. However, I posted a threat in chat yesterday urging people to have a quick look at this campaign from West Midlands police. 6 weeks ago my friend was hit in the face with a full pint glass in a Birmingham pub, he was an innocent bystander in a nasty fight. The impact fractured his skull in 4 places, and he was lucky not to lose his sight.

Please please if you haven't already, could you just take a quick look at the CCTV images to check you can't help the enquiry in anyway. If you're a twitter/fb user, I would be even extra grateful if you could take the time to repost/retweet the link.

News story

Thank you for reading - I will disappear back to the Worcester local thread where I belong now!

confuddledDOTcom Thu 20-Sep-12 11:05:20

It's not far from the 11, you can swap over to the 50 or walk up Kings Heath High St.

DinosaursOnASpaceship Wed 19-Sep-12 21:50:20

It's on the 11 route (I think) so wouldn't be to far. I live very near another play centre but I think it would be to far from everyone else.

I am sitting in a fleece drinking tea and eating mini heroes, it is freezing and I haven't put my hearing on yet I'm trying to hold out until October.

I will be off to bed shortly...have caught child germs and am cultivating man-flu!

Definitely up for a morning hickories trip (afternoons taken up by school run) Wednesdays and Thursday's are out for us but generally free the other days.

Will link from the other thread in the morning and hopefully the others will findus smile

BlueAndRedMakePurple Wed 19-Sep-12 21:08:53

Longbridge here (well depending on who you talk to-I'm a bit of a hybrid really. But BCC say Longbridge on my council tax bill so we'll go with that!)

Almost 8 yo DD, 4yo DS, 2.9yo DS and 14wo DS.

confuddledDOTcom Wed 19-Sep-12 21:03:56

I have heating on and wearing fluffy socks. Hands are stiff (I do have Raynauds though) and I went to bed early last night to warm up (I don't normally go to bed until early hours).
