Bullers Wood School will be making an application to set up a free school, Bullers Wood School for Boys. We need as many parents of boys in Yr 4&5 in 2014-15 to complete our survey making Bullers Wood School for Boys their first choice of school to make our application to the DfE successful.

If you would like more information the Headteacher, Mr Nick Cross and his Deputies will be available at a stall outside SWAG at INTU from 9am-6pm on Wednesday, 27th August. There will be an Information Evening on the same day at 7.30pm at Bullers Wood School, St Nicolas Lane, Chislehurst, Kent, BR7 5LJ.

We believe that we have a wider responsibility to our community, to provide an excellent education to both girls and boys in a single-sex environment. We will therefore be making an application to set up Bullers Wood School for Boys, which will be a thriving comprehensive school providing an academic education for boys within Chislehurst and Bromley. At the outset it will meet the needs of this area by providing a greater choice for parents (single sex boys’ education). It will also allow for boys within the community to be educated within the borough of Bromley.

If our application to set up a free school is successful, Bullers Wood School for Boys will be an 11-16 four-form entry school, with a shared Sixth Form with the Girls’ School.

We are aiming to open in September 2016; this will mean boys who are in Year 4 during the academic year 2013/14 will be eligible. If you know anyone who wants to register an interest in securing a place for their child, please call the Headteacher’s PA, Mrs K McCarthy on 020 8467 2280 ext 305 or alternatively email: kmccarthy@bullerswood.bromley.sch.uk or complete the survey on our website here
