Hi,
Just wondered if anyone cant recommend any good antenatal classes, exercise classes/yoga for pregnant women? Or if you know of any local meet ups?

I live in East Molesey and am due at the end of December. Sadly, I don't yet know of any pregnant friends who are local (yet!) but would love to meet people and keep active in the later months.

I went to a good pregnancy yoga class in Walton a couple of weeks ago which I would thoroughly recommend. And I've put my name down for the NHS antenatal classes at Thames Ditton.
Would love to hear from anyone in a similar situation!

Hi there - I was in your situation last year - now have a lovely 9 month old. Antenatal classes - I would suggest NCT classes. They are very good for meeting other mums to be who are all due around the same time. And most groups keep in touch - I still see my NCT friends very regularly. Also through the NCT you can go to the weekly meet-ups after you have your baby. I also went to a place called Shiva Health in Kingston for pregnancy yoga classes. Hope this helps - and good luck with the birth.

Hi!
Yes I think I will go along to the NCT classes. Mine start in November I think.
Thanks for your advice.
If anyone else lives locally, I'd love to hear from you!

Hi

I would recommend mybabyclass antenatal classes - they are really great and are doing weekend classes on weekend of 21/22 November at Amida Spa Hampton, the week course is taught by midwife, yoga teacher, doula and antenatal teacher see: www.mybabyclass.com .

They are also doing a free maternity portrait for that weekend so you can have a beautiful reminder of you bump.

Good Luck!

Hello ladies,

I am currently running free yoga pregnancy classes in claygate from my home. They are free because I am completing my yoga for pregnancy training with Birthlight. I am running 6 yoga session for free on Thursdays at 7.45pm so please let me know ASAP if you are interested. Maximum 6 pregnant ladies in the class.

Something about me: I have 2 children and I have trained with Janet Balaska (guru for yoga for pregnancy) in Active Birth Centre. Yoga teacher for adults but since having children I am teaching lots of kids in schools and teachers.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU, this is such a special time to be treasured.

Om,

Eva

I'd recommend Stephanie at www.yogawith.com. Lovely pregnancy yoga classes in Kingston.

If you ever get the chance try the Active Birth Centre in North London with Janet Balaskas and Wendy Teasdil, it is worth going to, and hypnotherapy is a must.. Brigid Goodwin also has a wonderful DVD if you don't want to venture out in the cold...... It's called Pregnancy Yoga Flow.

If you are in Walton try Bodysoulyoga.co.uk. The teachers are all British Wheel of Yoga trained and they do small intimate groups.

Good luck x
