Film, glass of vino and some chocolate?

Now its getting darker in the evenings, I think we should start that film night we talked about a while back.

Lets do a first one and then work out if we can do it monthly, bimonthly, never at all.

I could host now that the room is finished and DH has proudly set up the screen and projector.

Does anyone have a preference of which day? I dont really mind if its weekday or weekend to be honest.

When are you available for the week begining 21st September? I can do any evening that week.

Hooray!!

Earlier in the week the better for me since my due date is the 25th!! Don't worry i shall bring a towel to sit on. Definitely want to make the most of my last few nights of 'relative' freedom!

Of course i'm also sick to death of being Mrs Fatso so if I have burst my bubble by then, then I shall wish you all a very good evening!

coolio!

unfortunately DHs new contract means his commute can be up to 2hrs (boo hiss) depending on various trains. What a mistake this contract was - still, only for 5.5months now....

So - if its ok with you Mung, could i be a "will make it if i can but i wont know until DH is through the door" - i know thats very annoying!

oh, just thought - am in France that week . This is my 'ooh wouldn't it be nice if my parents, little bro and his family, and us hired a cottage for a week' holiday which has incredibly morphed into a "week with the inlaws" ????? how????

anyway - would love to come, but hols and DH's insistence on earning money permitting!

Pooter thats fine to just turn up if you can (although a trip back from France that week would seem a little extreme). Have a lovely holiday et j'espere que t'en profites beauoup pour parler Francais.

How about Tuesday 22nd then? I could pump my ball up for you to sit on Lucyfer .

Anyone else interested?

Next we need to decide on a film.

Ball sounds great actually Mung! Funnily enough i used an exercise ball a few weeks ago as one of those birthing balls. Not amazingly successful though, it went BANG! and left me on the floor with a bruised bum!! - Aah well, at least I can laugh about it now!

My only requests would be that it is nothing too weepy because I am an emotional wreck at the moment. I went to see Time Travellers Wife the other day and had to wait until everyone else had left the cinema because I had been blubbing so much that i could not be seen in the light!!

ahh, lucyfer! Im the same at the mo - i joined a mumsnet bookswap circle, and i havent been able to read most of the books! Im just paying for all of these weighty tomes to travel around the uk! At least we send chocolate to each other at the same time - that always gets eaten

So is it just us 3 then?
Perhaps it will depend on the film...any requests/recommendations anyone?

I'd love to come along but with my track record of dh's work getting in the way of any form of social life I daren't commit to anything!

Will keep an eye out for when you're meeting up though and hopefully make it along some time...

Oh well I certainly am! I think sparkly was keen as well but she has been on holiday and probably hasn't seen the post yet.

Will browse DVD titles, but really not fussy with either culture or cheese!

Is there really no one else interested in watching a film and chugging a glass of wine?

I'd be interested too,as long its not a French Intellectual film that you Boffins Language Teachers might be into !!!

Sounds like fun - just don't ask me to pick a film, I'd probably just embarrass myself!

A bit of good old slap stick American Comedy then? I could perhaps borrow a Ben Stiller movie like Dodge Ball or something like that.

Sounds good to me...I am easy really. I have a collection that I have borrowed. Does anyone belong to a rental place and could pick The Boat that Rocked up?

Is 8pm ok for everyone. I dont get the DCs into bed until then, so you are welcome to arrive a bit earlier, but I will be shouting and screaming in a bad mother fashion .

I can go to Blockbusters tomorrow morning if you like whilst DS is at pre-school. Shall need confirmation on what to choose though!

If you have a whole collection sitting at yours Mung, then I also don't mind just choosing one between us on the night.

Anyhow, let me know before tomorrow morning.

I am easy really. I'd quite like to see something new though, if you can get to Blockbusters. If you dont get a chance then we'll watch something from here.

Can I let you know tomorrow, Mung?

Really sorry but I'm in a bit of a state at the moment and I might just need an early night.
