I'm coming home after 6 years in sunny Hackney! I have a 4 month old son and will be living in Aigburth. There's so much free stuff to do here and I'm a bit apprehensive at the thought of having to leave all the new mums I've met and sort of start from scratch! I'd love to meet some like-minded mums or dads to scoot around with. Love to know what's going on down Lark Lane, will be plotting up in Keiths to accost all those with kids. I'll be back in late December and am looking forward to having my family around me again!

hi gilly
you should join the liverpool meet up thread..fab bunch of ladies if I do say so myself..lol Its a little bit quiet at the min as a few of the mums have just had more little ones. You will still find free/cheap things to do just get in touch with your local sure start once you move.

There's loads of free stuff to do up here too, loads of Children's Centres. None in leafy Aigburth LOL, but plenty within a couple of miles. Pretty much all the local libraries have a pre-schoolers rhyme time. Walker Art Gallery (free) in town has pre-schooler mornings one a month, and a special under 5s section, World Museum (free) has loads to see including aquarium.

How you getting on gillythekid? I spent 4 years down in north London too. Worked in Hackney but lived in Muswell Hill. Have been back in Liverpool for 6 years and am so glad we made the move back!
