Im looking for a nanny or childcarer to work in S8 Must do school run please

Im looking for a nanny or childcare worker in Sheffield 8 area. I am happy to pay the going nanny rate for qualified/OFSTED reg but this person must be able to do the school run to Norton Free. We only live a short distance away but Im having difficulty with the school run because of my health and the fact that Raph has special needs and the two girls are still in a pushchair. There may be additional hours childcare if the successful person wants it.

I have done all the obvious things like gone through the lists of Childminders with Sheffield Information Link, the outreach worker has even gone through them again for me just to check. None of the registered childminders or nannies can do it. If I use a nanny agency I understand I have to pay them 4 weeks wages for finding the nanny which I just cant afford. The nanny will need to be OFSTED registered, but I will help with that if necessary. Ive also asked around in the school yard but whilst people are willing to do the odd day in an emergency, no one has offered to take it on full time.

If you think you can help please get in touch. alyson dot schofield at sky dot com

If you only want the school run doing for you - ie less than 2 hours per day you could legally pay someone who is not registered. Not ideal I know (I used to be a CM and now work in a Pre school but not in your area - sorry), but if you have explored all the other avenues maybe you could consider this. Only problem with unregistered care is you will not get help with the fees.

Or, have you considered paying for a CRB checked taxi driver to do the school run - I think this can happen?

Thanks for your comments.

Firstly, I would rather find someone to do it and would be willing to help them with their OFSTED registration just so I can claim a percentage back on my tax credits.

I have considered finding someone unregistered, but no one has been able to do it.

Taxi driver no. They have to take him into his class. This is a child with special needs.

Thanks anyway.

Sorry my ideas weren't any use. I hope you are able to find someone.
