Hiya,

Just to apologise again for the cock up with my floor etc. Believe it or not it is still not done and won't be finished till tomorrow afternoon. driving me mad - the kids have been eating off the floor in the kitchen for a week now!!

Anyway, would anyone like to try again with a meet up at mine next Thursday or Friday? I promise not to cancel again unless we all get scarlet fever or something...

Shall I try Thursday this time and see if it is luckier?? About 10 o clock. Shall make a sponge again (only thing i can bake!)
xx

I'll be there if its Thursday, can't make friday I'm afraid.

Sponge would be lovely!

Hope the floor gets sorted soon, sounds incredibly frustrating...

I would have loved to but my friend is having DD for the day so I can get some sleep housework done

I might be able to sort something though - where are you in relation to train stations??

I can make Thursday morning Lucy.(Will be both DD's as Half Term)

I think you may find this one awkward to get to MrsM. I would offer to pick you up from Station, but haven't got room in car.Maybe someone else can help though....?

I will have to miss this meet up as I think the logistics of getting to you with both babies, a pram & possibly car seats not so easy

Fingers crossed I'll be driving soon & then you'll all be fed up with the sight of me

Is it just me or does this all get really confusing!!!

Mrsmagoo - we are a way away from the train station, so you would need a lift i'm afraid. There is a bus from the train station - but could be a bit of a mission! Hope to see you soon if you have no luck.

PF and SP would be great to see you - I think that i will stick with Thursday this time.

No worries Mung see you soon.

Sawyer - be great to see you Thursday - but have you got the right week. I am alluding to this Thursday coming, so it is not half term. Hope you can still come. Its that old chestnut with the this Thurday / next Thursday thing isn't it!!

I get easily confused at the best of times

I will say thank you very much for invite Lucyfer but will have to pass on this occassion as I'd be clock watching to get back on time for DD getting picked up

For the future though are the buses to yours easy access buses, would I be able to get on with my P&T?

Hiya, how far is the bus journey Lucyfer? Would love to come but don't reckon my chances on getting there very early, you will probably have all gone home!

Report
SparklyPrincess · 21/10/2008 14:25

Haven't actually done the bus journey up to the horkesley but it can't be much more than 15 mins... think it's the number 2.

I'd offer a lift but I don't have a spare car seat and I assume you don't want to lug one up on the train!

Report
MrsMagooo · 21/10/2008 19:25

Would be tricky

Report
lucyfer2000 · 21/10/2008 20:39

I'm not sure how if the buses are easy access or not to be honest - not tried getting on them with a push chair. they have two entrances if that helps at all!

Hi Saz , yes the bus journey is not long from the station - maybe ten fifteen at the most. It is the number 2. email me [email protected] and i shall let you know my address and where to get the bus to stop.

Hi Girls - can't bloody come again - have a roof man roumnd and a surveyor!

Surveyor to look at next doors wall - we are paying as I need to get the ball rolling interms of getting him to bloody fix it properly - £300 + VAT, fucking hate neighbour, he is just ignoring the huge gaping hole in it now and thinking that he can just get away with shoddily fixing it up. I have had conservation man round who says the tree is of no merit and is still damaging the wall and it may be damaging our house which is a shitter as our insurance does not cover it and nor does the fuckers (sorry am in a bit of a huff about it!).

Am in a huff because the roof man is coming round because we have water running down our kitchen wall when ti rains because gulley in roof is full of leaves from the fuckers tree - it is overflowing on the roof, running down the middle of an ionternal wall, hitting the joist and then coming out under the coving in the kitchen.

AAARRRGGGHHH!!!

Sorry rant over - so I won't be able to come but will see you all next Tuesday.

Hi all.
Lucyfer - Just seen your message and would have loved to have come along but unfortunately can't make it this week. Hopefully catch up with you all soon though x

Ah pooh, it looks as though bus takes 40 minutes from timetable, so think we might give it a miss. Am booking some driving lessons tomorrow, fed up with public transport! (although DS more than happy to go everywhere by bus/train/boat!)
Hope to catch up with you soon all.
Think might be slightly difficult to bring car seat, unless I balance on my head!
I might take DS to London if forecast is good Thurs.

I will host soon - not next week (halloween and half term?) but week after, on the Thursday whatever date that is - will post separately this week.
x

Sawyer that is really nice of you to offer. DS is two, a few weeks older than your DD2. That would be great, I will check train times and let you know. My email address is sazza at tinyworld co uk. x

No problem.Sorry to be so vague with DS's age.I thought he was around DD2's age.Still trying to place names with Nicknames, and Children with Nicknames etc.
Too much for my "Nappy brain" !

Although it seems I can't use that as an excuse much longer, did you see that research news that we are supposed to be "cleverer" after having a child!

Something must of gone wrong with me....

Sawyer, I am definitely not cleverer after having DS, I forget everything!
Can you send me a quick email and we can swap mobile numbers in case?
The train times aren't great, might get there early and have a quick brekky first (always an excuse to eat!). Either 9.45 ish or 10.20 ish to meet up? What time is best for you?
