Cranial Osteopathy / Massgae for Colic query

I was just wondering if any one had tried either of the above as a method of treating colic. My midwife told me that colic does not appear until at least 6 weeks old but my 4 week old boy is showing signs of real discomfort when passing wind or having a bowel movement. Any advice / suggestions? Does anyone know of anywhere local to Manchester / Bury where they do cranial osteopathy or massage?
Many thanks

Yes, this one is a charity so treatment is free but you're expected to make a donation each time you go:
www.fpo.org.uk/
They're open tues and wed only and based in ancoats ib the centre of Manchester
We went for dd's recurring ear infections etc, but they see lots of colicky babies.

I tried cranial osteopathy when my son had colic but only went twice as the BFree (similar to Dr Brown) bottles seemed to have more effect.

Hi

My son (now 8 months) had dreadful colic for the first 4 months and we bought Infacol in bulk, which did relieve it a bit!

But, after lots of stressful times coping with it, we were advised maybe to visit a cranial osteopath. At the time, we lived near Worcester, but, regardless, the practitioner we saw was excellent, and relieved a lot of tension from his neck and scalp which, undoubtedly, made the colic lessen a little.(weird as it's a different part of the body completely, but it's worth a try)
