Having to move to Aberystwyth due to partners work! Delay due to COVID so unable to start my child in nursery & with COVID keeping home anyway. Can only google so much! Anyone have inside information on which primary schools are highly regarded? Diolch

Hi Jonesi300,

We're sorry to say we're no experts in this area but we wanted to wish you luck and give this a bump for you. You might want to try posting in Local in case some of our users in Wales can help you out with this.

All the best with your upcoming move.

How old are your children? The Welsh school, Ysgol Gymraeg Aberystwyth, is fantastic and your children will have the advantage of being immersed in the Welsh language, so they'll pick it up in no time. Pastoral care and standard of education there is amazing too (and it has many children from non-Welsh-speaking backgrounds, so loads of support there.) Good luck! Aberystwyth is a lovely place to live.

Aaa pob lwc! My job means that I visit schools, and there's a lovely warm and friendly atmosphere in Ysgol Gymraeg.

@OnceIWasAnApe that’s reassuring to hear! Diolch!
