I'm a member of Esporta and they definitely do yoga classes. There's also a great pool (plus very warm baby pool) and gym.

hi if you look on www.activebirthcentre.com/ you will find a facility for searching for local active birth yoga classes.

When I was pregnant with ds2 I went to Ruth Armes's classes in New Malden. She does them in the hall above the New Malden library and she is wonderful. After booking a place, you pay for a month each time (apart from the last month when you can pay as you go, as you don't really know how many weeks you will be around)! In addition to the yoga, there is always a chance to chat (or moan) about your experience of pregnancy, and although Ruth is only about the same age as me, she has three kids and has attended other births too, and seems to be very wise and is extremely helpful about many pregnancy niggles. Plus I'm sure it helped my body cope better with the demands of pregnancy, and getting through labour.

Ruth also set up the Birth Choice UK site which I think is great for allowing you to make informed choices about where to have your baby.

I also recently saw some ads for Active Birth classes in North Kingston but I can't remember the name of the teacher.

Hope that helps, anyway. Ruth really is a great teacher and I would recommend her to anyone - you don't have to be of hippy, lentil-weaving tendencies to appreciate her classes. She does 'birth preparation classes' too, which are probably better than the NCT ones, if you haven't already booked those.

Hi, I went to Ruth Armes's classes and really enjoyed them. There is also an aerobics class run on a Saturday morning at Kingston Hospital physiotherapy department, this is a very enjoyable class and makes it even more fun that everyone is pregnant, we even had a lady whose waters broke in one of the classes. I went right up to a week before I had my son.

Good luck.

Are you still looking for yoga pregnancy classes? If so classes are held in Teddington (Broom Road/Atbara Road) on Tuesday mornings at 9.30 or Tuesday evenings at 7pm. Each class lasts an hour and a half and costs £10 per session with a maximum of 6 per class. Although I've not yet been I'm starting soon as also due in February.

Contact is Julie Darcey:

Hi

Julie's classes are starting again on Jan 8th. When I last spoke to her a week ago she expected a few places to be free as a number of her current attendees are due over Christmas.

Good luck and hopefully you will have heard from julie by now.

Happy Christmas

Nikki

We didn't get to say goodbye as you went the opposite direction to us - you didn't see us trying to get your attention - hope you didn't think us rude!

Hope you enjoyed the class and see you next week if you are continuing with it.

Can't beliive how fast the week has gone! I really enjoyed that Danish and feel my appetite increasing all the time arghhhhhh will be a porker soon. A friend has made me double choc brownies - too divine for words. Better get walking and burn some calories.

See you Tuesday unless the babies decide to make an early appearance!
