Hi,

we are 4 (with a 5-year-old daughter and one-year-old boy) looking to relocate from Jersey to Borehamwood, Radlett or St Albans,

Unfortunately, we don't know the area and we have no friends around in the UK.

Can anyone please suggest a nice area to live, particularly kids schooling?

Also, we're looking to rent a 2 bedrooms house in the range of 1,100£ 1300£. Would that be a reasonable budget?

We're not familiar at all with the UK schooling system, therefore, any help or suggestion would be appreciated as well as some good primary school names.

Any other information or suggestion would be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance....

St Albans is a lovely place to live. that kind of budget can get you a house like this, which is in a nice area (playground and green space very nearby) and is close to samuel ryder school, which goes right up to 6th form from primary and was rated 'good' by ofsted x

We lived about 30 mins from st Albans, everyone raved about it. Meant to be lovely and great for kids.
