Moving to Worthing - Please help

H Guys,

Really looking for some feedback and advice. We are currently looking at moving to Worthing from Epsom Surrey. 2 Adults & 2 kids aged 6 and 1. We really like the area and are pretty easy - going people, just need a bit going on for the weekends so Worthing looks like a good place for us. We have seen some properties around Goring and West Worthing which look good. We have also seen a few properties in West Durrington around the Tesco area on a nice newish build style estate which would provide a good family home for the right price, which is what we are looking for. However, and I really don’t wish to offend anyone, but West Durrington really gets a bad press on line. Can anyone advise who lives there or near there if it’s really that bad?

Does it feel edgy and just generally not that nice? The road we have been looking at has nice semi and detached properties, all of the houses look well looked after, and everyone seemed pretty friendly!

We currently live in the less desirable part of town anyway which has a lot of social houses nearby, but its fine.

Appreciate there isn’t much going on in West Durrington, but we will just jump on the train to Brighton, London, or drive into Worthing town at the weekends, this isn’t an issue at all for us.

I am just a bit concerned that we might go for this and hate it. Please help??

Hoping someone sees this as we're in the same boat, thinking of relocating to the Goring/Worthing area. Have you thought anymore about moving there?

I’m also thinking of moving to Worthing- I know the area pretty well. But would like advice on good/bad areas and secondary schools pls.
