Shrewsbury North and North West

We are moving to Shrewsbury in July. Most of the threads talk about nice places for families to live in the south West and south East.
Can anyone recommend any nice areas in north or north west of the town as we are looking for easy access to Ellesmere.
Would be very grateful for any advice.

The trouble is that the north/north-west of Shrewsbury is all retail/industrial parks and there's no building west of the A458. The only places you can really look are Harlescott/Mount Pleasant and the new-build estate north of Coton Hill (sorry, I can't remember what it's called). These areas aren't as nice as those to the south but they are generally more affordable.

Hi I am soon moving into the area with my husband and two daughters. My eldest will be joining reception at St Lucia’s primary school hopefully within the next few weeks. As we are completely new to the area, could anyone give any thoughts on this school and just any advice on the area please? We have met the headteacher who seems lovely but I’m just a little anxious as to whether my daughter will be able to settle in (as is every parent of a child starting nursery!) any comments are welcome!
