What is Bishop's Stortford like?

Hi,

We are planning to move to the area from London and would like to find out more about the area.

We have two kids 6 and 4 yrs. So settling somewhere near an outstanding school would be ideal.. Husband will have to travel to Westminster to work, but still has to figure out the cheapest option. Any advice?

Will be happy with any info about the town and people living here, schools, entertainment for the kids etc. Any input would be highly appreciated.
