Recommendations please - orthodontist

DC2 was allocated to a new NHS ortho when original one retired. We don't like the new one for multiple reasons, so we'll find the money to go private so that we can choose where to go.

DC2 needs top & bottom teeth straightening. No removals needed, but apparently has very short roots which makes things tricky.

Any recommendations please? Thank you

I was really impressed with our consultant at bournemouth hospital, Ellie thickett, but don't know quite if that's what you mean.

Oh just realised this has appeared in my feed but you're definitely not my "local". Apologies.

Thank you for replying Smile Bournemouth would be a bit far from Cambridge, but I appreciate your thought!

Yes it would rather! I saw "mn local" and assumed it meant local to me! Good luck with the hunt.

We were referred to Mr Scriven at Anglia Orthodontics and have just finished treatment. No issues but our case was straightforward.
A friend went to a Mr Mullins on Norfolk St and was very happy but that was a few years ago.
Another was with The Cambridge Centre for Orthodontics (Mr Parker?) and was also happy but again it was a few years back.
I think all take private and NHS patients.
We haven't been so lucky with our dentist :-(

Thank you so much 😀
It's Mr Parker who retired.

DC2 has an appt with current ortho during the 1/2 term break. We'll make a decision then depending on how they respond to us explicitly querying the number of repairs needed, how they handled those repairs, and how long it is to the next appt.

Hi
We have used Cambridge Orthodontics practice in long road for braces. Very nice service so far. Have you contacted them?

Thank you.
Appt with current ortho is later this week, so we'll make decisions then. Smile

DD has just had braces fitted at St Marks Dentist / Orthodontist in Chesterton. The female orthodontist seems OK, and 'likes a challenge' so is hoping to get DDs teeth sorted without needing any extractions.

We go to the dentist there too, and were referred in July, initial appointment on October and then fitting in February so they are busy and there is a bit of a wait.
