Hi everyone. I've moved to Swansea with my husband (who grew up in the area) and our two daughters, aged 10 (nearly 11) and almost 9. Other than his family, the girls and I don't know anyone in the area, so once I've sorted the house out I'm sure I'm going to be feeling lonely as I've previously always worked and had a close group of friends.
I'd really appreciate any suggestions on pages on Mumsnet or Facebook that I can post to or look at to get general advice for the local area (our previous home used to have a FB Parents page but I can't seem to find a Swansea Parents page or a page for the girls' school??) and where I can ask questions or recommendations for different things and keep up with local events.
Thank you :-)

What area have you moved too?

The Hoop app is quite good. Some areas have community magazines that come through the door monthly, we have an SA4 one but not sure about the other areas. Also the Swansea Council website has some info on what the council is running through the holidays etc.

I’ve heard that the Mush app can be quite good for finding Mum’s in the area but I’ve personally never used it.

Which postcode are you in? Sa3 have a community magazine too and a few local fb pages. Feel free to inbox if you need anything?

Thank you both for replying!
We're in SA5 at the moment, but hoping to move in to SA2 later this year as our girls have got places in primary school there, plus it'll be easier for husband to get to the train station for his commute.
I suppose I'd like the best of both worlds, activities / other Mums that live where we do at the mo', plus in the future.
