Advice - Stanley Primary and Twickenham primary schools

Hi there,

I'm hoping to get some advice on Stanley Primary in Teddington, and recommended primaries in Twickenham.

My husband and I (with our 3-year-old) had initially been looking to move to Hampton/Hampton Hill and so my schools research and visits had been based on primaries there (Carlisle, Hampton Infant etc).

However, given the dire state of the housing market (i.e., virtually no properties coming on) we have - at the very last minute - decided to expand our search into Fulwell and Twickenham. I'm sifting through Ofsted reports but was hoping to get any local mum intel.

Re Stanley, I know that they are deemed by Ofsted as requiring improvement, but hear that many parents are happy with the school. Any thoughts/insights appreciated

Other Twickenham primaries: I am a bit overwhelmed by starting on the schools front again, so any advice on where to start (well regarded schools) much appreciated.

As we haven't found "the" house yet, we are going to have to rent while we continue the search, but conscious we'll have to rent in the area we want to buy because of catchments.

Thanks in advance!

Someone asked something very similar a few days ago so maybe read that thread too. You really can't go wrong with Twickenham primaries. They're all very good. Depends what you like. The smaller ones tend to be church schools, and can be very churchy which might not be your cup of tea. The bigger ones can seem too big when your child is tiny but the bigger they are the more clubs and facilities they have so you'll appreciate that when they get bigger.
